What is my warranty on broken appliances?

Last updated 7/27/20260 viewsProvisional

Appliances are guaranteed against defects for at least two years. Warranty covers repairs, parts, and travel costs. If the same defect recurs twice in year one, get a replacement or refund.

The supplier is obliged to guarantee durable goods against manufacturing defects for at least two years from the date you received the goods (art. 22). If the item needs installation or operation by the supplier, the period runs from the actual installation or operation date, with a maximum of two months from receipt.

The warranty covers inspection, examination, repair and original spare parts, plus the technicians' travel costs and transporting the product from your place to the service center and back after repair, including installation and operation (art. 23). If the supplier does not repair the product, it must replace it with a new one of the same type and specifications or refund its value (art. 23).

The supplier also guarantees the product's quality and safety throughout the warranty period (art. 20). If the same defect recurs more than twice during the first year in a way that materially affects performance, the supplier must replace it with a new one at no cost to you or refund its value (art. 24).
