Age: Employing children before the age of fifteen is prohibited; however, they may be trained once they reach fourteen, provided this does not hinder their continued education. An employer training a child under fifteen must give the child a card proving the training, approved by the competent administrative authority (art. 62). For the law's purposes, a child is anyone under eighteen (art. 61).
Working hours: A child may not work more than six hours a day, and the working hours must be interrupted by one or more rest-and-meal breaks totaling at least one hour, so the child never works more than four continuous hours (art. 65).
Key prohibitions: A child may not be made to work overtime, on weekly rest days, or on official holidays, and may not be employed between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. (art. 65).
It is also prohibited to employ or train children in work that endangers their health, safety, or morals, or hinders their education (art. 64).
